Additionally, you can savor coffee made with the delicious water of Mount Hiei at the café corner while admiring the view of Lake Biwa. Relish the vegetarian cuisine prepared without wasting ingredients.
The rooms are old but well-cleaned, giving a sense of cleanliness and comfort. It would have been even better if there was a refrigerator. The meals were delicious, and thanks to the vegetarian cuisine, I didn’t feel heavy even after being full. The dining hall staff were also very pleasant. I would like to revisit and stay again once the renovation of Konpon Chudo is completed.

The view of Lake Biwa from the room was stunning both in the morning and at night, and the meals featured traditional vegetarian cuisine unique to temple lodgings. The food was delicious, and breakfast was served buffet-style, allowing guests to choose from a variety of vegetarian dishes. I even had seconds! Exclusive Enryakuji × Sousou collaboration goods were available for purchase, which were very cute. The loungewear also featured the same design. There were also Sousou-designed stamp books available.Within walking distance are Konpon Chudo Hall and Amida Hall, creating a luxurious atmosphere. Since Konpon Chudo Hall is currently under renovation, I look forward to visiting again when it is completed in five years.
