A Ryokan inspired by one of the world's three great beauties, Yang Guifei, featuring a faithfully recreated bath said to have been enjoyed by her. The marble bathtub, with a depth of 120cm, allows most women to soak up to their shoulders, and when it's less crowded, it can also be used for walking baths. Additionally, the bath made of blue cut stone and the throne where Yang Guifei is said to have sat are also recreated. Each Room features a unique alcove design, ensuring a special and memorable stay. Fresh seasonal seafood from Yamaguchi is sourced daily, offering a kaiseki meal that emphasizes the natural flavors of the ingredients.
The meals were just the right portion size, and there was an open-air bath, so we were able to relax. We’d like to visit again.

Yang Guifei's Bath
This is our signature bath, a faithful recreation of the one said to have been enjoyed by Yang Guifei in ancient times. Descending the marble steps, you’ll find a depth of 120cm, allowing most women to soak up to their shoulders. When less crowded, it’s also suitable for walking baths. Based on legend, the bathtub made with blue cut stones creates an enchanting atmosphere... The throne where Yang Guifei is believed to have sat has also been meticulously reproduced.
Senzaki Fishing Port, the leading catch in the vicinity.
Nagato City, located in the northern part of Yamaguchi Prefecture, is close to the sea, with Senzaki Fishing Port boasting the highest catch in the vicinity. Recently, efforts have been made to brand various seafood, including squid and horse mackerel. Notably, horse mackerel with a fat content exceeding 10% is declared as Senzaki Toro Aji during its season. Squid, specifically Kensaki squid, becomes thick and is marketed as Senzaki Buto Ika during its peak season (around October).
We offer complimentary "yoga mats" for use on the exclusive river deck of Gyokusenkaku, available only to property guests. Two sets are provided. They can be used from 7:00 AM to around 4:00 PM. Due to limited availability, please limit usage to approximately one hour per person. ※ Please refrain from use during rainy or windy conditions. Registration is available at the front desk.
