  • Everyone was delighted with the view of Mount Fuji right in front of us. The meat served during the meal was tender and satisfying at 200g. From the bath in the Room, a first-grader was overjoyed by the breathtaking view of Mount Fuji. The Hotel itself was quiet and peaceful.

  • The staff's hospitality was extremely polite, kind, and left a great impression. I was particularly touched by the dedication and cheerful smiles of the staff members from other countries working in Japan, which showed how well-trained Hotel's hospitality education is. The bath area includes one indoor bath, one open-air bath, and two pot baths (for women). Though compact, it was clean and offered a luxurious experience with views of Mount Fuji. The meals were well-portioned and delicious. It seemed considerate of food waste. A Room where you can admire Mount Fuji while lying on the bed—on the first day it was covered by clouds, but on the second morning its majestic figure appeared, making this trip truly wonderful. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

Welcome to the scenic spot beloved by Duke Shimazu.

■The Beginning of Kawaguchiko Resort Our Facility is located within a part of a 20,000-tsubo forest where the villa of Duke Shimazu once stood. In 1916 (Taisho 5), Duke Shimazu built a summer villa in this area, offering a panoramic view of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi. This became the first villa in Kawaguchiko, followed by the construction of villas by the Nashimoto-no-Miya, Tokugawa, and Okura families. It can be said that the foundation of the current Kawaguchiko lakeside resort was laid by Duke Shimazu. Please visit this scenic spot loved by Duke Shimazu.

Kawaguchiko Lake Festival

Lord Shimazu, in constructing his villa, showed great interest in and contributed significantly to the tourism development around Lake Kawaguchi. In 1917 (Taisho 6), as a token of gratitude to Lord Shimazu, local residents loaded 30 fireworks onto a boat and launched them from the lake, which was well-received by tourists. This marked the beginning of the Lake Kawaguchi Festival. From 1927 (Showa 2), the event began to be held on August 5th during the tourist season, growing more grand each year. Over time, it became known as a famous event in the Kanto region, and in 2016 (Heisei 28), it celebrated its memorable 100th anniversary.
