Koyasan Kumagai-ji

Enjoy the Koyasan vegetarian cuisine, crafted with attention to color, flavor, and cooking methods.

For dinner, you can enjoy Koyasan's signature dishes such as "Koya Tofu" and "Sesame Tofu." Especially, the sesame tofu is made by removing the sesame husk and using only the core, resulting in a smooth and rich flavor. Rice cooked with mountain water has also received praise as "delicious!" Breakfast is prepared lightly, featuring a traditional Japanese taste.

Temple Property

At our temple, we offer two types of special Rooms. From Special Room A, you can enjoy a view of the garden, and it is equipped with air conditioning. For those who do not prioritize the view from the Room, we have Special Room B available. (Please note that Special Room B does not have air conditioning.) Additionally, the special Rooms are located slightly away from other Rooms, and they come with a dedicated floor toilet and washroom, making them ideal for those who wish to relax in a quiet space. Our standard Rooms are serene Japanese-style private Rooms. You may feel a sense of nostalgia and comfort in their traditional atmosphere. After your visit to the temple, you can unwind and soothe your travel fatigue in the private space, where the warmth of the tatami spreads around you.
