Near the World Heritage Itsukushima Shrine, enjoy views of the Seto Inland Sea from the large bath and Hiroshima's specialty kaiseki cuisine.
Just a 3-minute walk from the pier and a 7-minute walk to the World Heritage Itsukushima Shrine, this location serves as a perfect base to enjoy Miyajima, one of Japan's three scenic views. From the large public bath on the top floor, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea at different times of the day. Relax in a serene Room designed in the Sukiya style. Dinner features a Japanese kaiseki meal showcasing Hiroshima's specialties, including oysters and conger eel.
This was my first time in Hiroshima and my first time on Miyajima, and I wasn’t sure how to get there from central Hiroshima or where to stay. Since seeing the changing tides at Itsukushima Shrine was my top priority, I chose this property. I arrived in the evening, checked in right away because it’s close to the ferry terminal, and was able to see the shrine at low tide immediately. Great location! From the Room I could see across to the mainland, and from the spacious, relaxing bath I could view the illuminated torii gate. Wonderful atmosphere! Dinner was delicious with local specialties and a seasonal feel, and the timing of each course being served was perfect. Great meals! The Room was thoroughly cleaned and very comfortable. Very clean! Breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of options and tasted great, though I would have liked a bit more fruit. Visiting Itsukushima Shrine at high tide before breakfast was refreshing with far fewer people around. A rare experience! I even made it onto a ferry just five minutes before departure. Very convenient! Thank you for taking care of us.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 4/14/2026I stayed here on a trip to Miyajima with my mother for the first time in decades. From the name of the Accommodation, I imagined it might be like a “detached palace” and extremely luxurious, but when I saw it in person, it felt more like a classic Showa-era Japanese inn—in a comforting, reassuring way. All of the staff were pleasant, and the meals were thoughtfully prepared with many delightful touches. It also seemed to be during a Hina Matsuri campaign period, and there were adorable hina dolls displayed throughout the building, which really warmed my heart.Breakfast included Hiroshima specialties like gansu (fried fish cake) and oyster tsukudani, and I was impressed by how well the sea bream ara-ni was cooked. Dinner also featured plenty of delicious ingredients in both the sashimi and hot pot dishes. There was a wide selection of local sake—many from Hatsukaichi and neighboring Yamaguchi—so I ordered a daiginjo set as well; it was a very satisfying kaiseki meal.As for the baths, on one of the alternating days (the one on the right), the bath stools were quite low and hard on my lower back. I was also a little disappointed that there wasn’t any barley tea after bathing either in the morning or at night. There was also a sign saying lounge ice cream was available until 23:00, but there didn’t seem to be anyone around…?The Room had an air purifier. There wasn’t any chilled water provided, so it may be best to buy bottled water in advance. There were a few small points that stood out to me, but overall I had a comfortable stay.
