"Ryokan Kouro" is located in the heart of Kyoto, in the "Historic City Center" area within the Tanoji district, which is considered the central part of Kyoto. It is conveniently close to municipal subway and private railway stations, as well as a variety of restaurants and souvenir shops. Nishiki Market is just a 3-minute walk away, and Shinkyogoku and Kawaramachi are within a 5 to 10-minute walk. At the Ryokan, we take pride in serving our meals in your Room for both breakfast and dinner. While in-Room dining has become less common in recent years, you can enjoy the traditional Ryokan dining experience here. Our kaiseki cuisine, in particular, is highly praised for its use of seasonal ingredients and Kyoto-style presentation. Each Room is equipped with a private bath and toilet, but we also have a communal bath available. Though not large, the bath features a hinoki cypress tub, offering a relaxing way to unwind from your travels. In recent years, we have also introduced barrier-free Rooms.
