Relax in sulfur hot springs and enjoy the delights of each season.
The Property at Sukenagawa Onsen offers natural sulfur-rich Onsen baths, perfect for relaxing after trekking or skiing while enjoying the seasonal natural beauty. The Onsen, directly sourced from the spring, changes color with water temperature, providing benefits such as skin beautification and fatigue recovery. Additionally, the spacious public bath includes an open-air bath for a varied experience. Guest rooms are equipped with washbasins, toilets, TVs, telephones, tea sets, and hangers.
I have stayed at Sumikawa Hotel several times. This time, I stayed for 2 nights. The Onsen bath is perfect for warming both body and mind. There is only one elevator, so there might be some waiting time. It's convenient that you can ski down from Yokote Mountain and arrive right in front of the hotel. I will stay here again!
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 1/5/2026We stayed here for a family trip. It was our first time staying at this accommodation. Although there was no air conditioning, it was cool and comfortable. Since it was cloudy during our stay, there were no issues, but if it had been sunny, a fan might have been nice to have. The building is old, but the room was well-cleaned and the futon was fluffy and comfortable. The bath was also great. The meals were not particularly special but tasted good enough. Considering the price with meals included, I think the value for money is excellent.

Enjoy Shiga Kogen
Shiga Kogen is a national park home to a UNESCO-recognized precious ecosystem. From winter to spring, enjoy skiing, while from spring to autumn, you can experience hiking amidst fresh greenery, alpine plants, and colorful autumn leaves. Year-round activities include birdwatching, stargazing, and firefly watching.
In addition to a spacious 170-tatami mat hall suitable for large gatherings, there are also a restaurant, a tea room, a dining room, and a shop.
Sasagawa Hotel is located at an altitude of approximately 1,700m in the Kumano-yu and Sasagawa Onsen area, a key spot on the Shiga Kusatsu Kogen Route (National Route 292).
