Tokinosumika Hotel Hana no Yu
Shizuoka Prefecture/FujinomiyaFrom the Dead Sea salt Onsen to Kusatsu Onsen, relax with a variety of hot springs and Japanese-Western style rooms.
The Hotel in Fujinomiya with views of Mount Fuji features the largest bathing Facility in the eastern part of the prefecture. With 10 types of Onsen, relaxation areas, and dining options, you can enjoy ultimate relaxation. The Japanese-Western style rooms accommodating up to 5 guests are ideal for families or groups. Additionally, you can use the Onsen before and after meals, dine only, or use it as a café.
It felt like an Onsen Facility with an attached accommodation wing. The Onsen had a wide variety of both indoor and outdoor baths, and we really enjoyed them. Shoes are left at the entrance, but we couldn’t find slippers in the room, so it felt a bit uncomfortable walking barefoot (or in socks) in both the bath area and the guest room. The room is a little small, but it’s more than enough if you’re just sleeping there, and you can also use the relaxation area in the Onsen Facility, so I don’t think it’s an issue. Breakfast offered a good mix of Japanese and Western options, and everything was delicious.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 2/23/2026This accommodation is attached to a day-use onsen facility. It offers a more casual and approachable atmosphere compared to chains like APA, Super Hotel, or Route Inn, though opinions may vary. Located along a major highway, it is convenient for those traveling by car or rental car. Popular destinations such as Fuji Safari Park, Kodomo no Kuni, Gotemba Outlet Mall, and Fuji Speedway are all within an hour's drive, making it an ideal location for visitors from the Chukyo region. The surrounding area features various chain stores including convenience stores, family restaurants, sushi shops, and beef bowl restaurants—making it especially suitable for families or as a rest stop during long drives. Inside the facility requires mostly walking with stairs being the primary means of moving between floors. While elevators and lifts are available upon request from staff members, this might not be ideal for those who feel hesitant about asking for assistance. The bathing facilities have some retro elements reminiscent of the early Heisei era but are well-maintained with thorough cleaning. Guests can enjoy multiple saunas and onsen baths—a delight for bath enthusiasts. Features include shallow tubs and dimly lit bath areas with slightly cooler washing stations that evoke a nostalgic Heisei-era vibe. The women’s bath includes a Monroe Bath which is convenient when accompanying young children who cannot bathe alone yet safely manage in water. As these baths are shared with local residents and day-use guests alike, they may not suit those who prefer more private settings. The accommodation facilities themselves are relatively new and also well-cleaned with properly made beds ensuring comfort during your stay; however most rooms do not come equipped with private bathrooms or showers inside them.Rooms tend toward compactness featuring lower ceilings which taller individuals (e.g., over 180cm) might find slightly confining while limited shelving space could pose challenges if bringing large amounts luggage along.Smoking areas exist between non-smoking accommodations & main Onsen zones meaning freshly washed hair/body risks absorbing tobacco odors nearby unfortunately detracting somewhat otherwise pleasant experience overall here!Staff throughout premises maintain cheerful professionalism delivering excellent service particularly front desk interactions alongside breakfast venue operations where seating arrangements replenishment dishes clearing used plates handled efficiently even peak busy periods without causing inconvenience whatsoever diners present then! Overall impression left behind after staying here was overwhelmingly positive indeed hence planning return visits future occasions whether attending events held nearby Fuji Speedway embarking work-related trips heading towards Kanto region via car again someday soon hopefully too!*Note: Slippers either need bringing own pair alternatively disposable ones available purchase ¥100 fee colder seasons advisable prepare accordingly avoid discomfort feet warmth-wise.*
