Introduction of the Accommodation
Shirakawa-go in Gifu Prefecture is a famous site of Gassho-style houses designated as a World Heritage site. The main building of our facility was relocated from Shirakawa-go. It is extremely valuable as a folk material, and even now, timber from the Edo period is used throughout. On the second floor, you can see exhibits of old farming tools and get a close look at the beams of the Gassho-style construction.
A 15-minute drive from the center of Yufuin, Tsukahara Highlands is a very quiet place where nature remains untouched. Located in such Tsukahara Highlands is "Sansou Shiki." On the premises, goats and chickens live, and you can freely interact with them.
