Healing hot springs, newly opened therapeutic stone bath, traditional kaiseki cuisine, and an unforgettable breakfast.

"Moving the heart, with ingenuity." Founded in 1879 as a kaiseki restaurant, this is a long-established Ryokan in Isawa Onsen. We use our own natural hot spring source that gushes forth from within the premises, known as "Bijin no Yu" (Beautiful Skin Water) for its excellent quality. Enjoy the blessings of the Onsen with the "Yakuseki-yoku Arashi no Yu," opened in 2020, and the spacious private baths "Oku no Yu" and "Manyo no Yu." Carrying on traditions since the Meiji era, we offer creative kaiseki cuisine that delights both the palate and the eyes, using seasonal ingredients. For our "Impressive Breakfast," we take pride in providing a comforting meal with a focus on "homemade," "variety," and "seasonality."

  • It was a wonderful Onsen Accommodation, just as the Reviews said. The warm smiles and polite greetings from everyone working there truly warmed my heart. This is an Accommodation where you can’t help but think, with every person you meet, “What wonderful staff.” To celebrate my anniversary trip with my daughter, they surprised us with a complimentary photo gift, which really moved me. Dinner was beautiful to look at and meticulously prepared dish by dish—I ate to my heart’s content and felt so happy. Breakfast was delicious as well. My skin felt silky smooth after the Onsen. The stone sauna was also amazing. From the free massage chairs to the lovely amenities, the ReFa hair dryer, and complimentary drinks, I could feel high-quality service throughout. If you’re going to travel anyway, I definitely recommend choosing an Accommodation with such wonderful hospitality like this one. It was perfect timing—the cherry blossoms were in bloom outside, and we were able to enjoy hanami. The only thing that concerned me was that only the male staff member at the stone sauna reception was consistently curt, making it hard to ask for beer or anything else due to the atmosphere. This is an Accommodation I’d like to visit again when I want to refresh myself. Thank you very much.

  • This was one of the Accommodations I had been interested in for a long time after seeing it on Instagram. I stayed here this time to celebrate my daughter’s wedding, and it was absolutely the right choice—everything was wonderful. At check-in, I was happy that the General Manager remembered that we had stayed at Yuwa (a sister property). The Onsen and Arashi-no-Yu were both excellent. At breakfast, the owner came to greet each table, which I found truly impressive. The breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, and everything was delicious. We couldn’t finish it all, so we’ll be back again next time. Thank you for waving to us until we were out of sight after check-out. It was a lovely Accommodation where we could really feel your heartfelt hospitality. Thank you very much. And of course, the food was outstandingly delicious as well.

Notice from the Accommodation

  • Spring Kaiseki Cuisine Paired with Lumière Wines

As of today, Itoyanagi’s cuisine has been updated to a spring menu.

This spring, in our first collaboration with the long-established Fuefuki City, Yamanashi winery “Lumiere,” we are offering wine pairings.

Founded in 1885, Lumiere is a historic winery.
By bringing together wines crafted in the same city of Fuefuki and dishes made with seasonal spring ingredients,
you can enjoy flavors unique to this region.

We also offer an “Accommodation Plan with Pairing,” which lets you enjoy Lumiere wines alongside your meal.

Please enjoy at Itoyanagi the spring-inspired cuisine and the perfect marriage of wines nurtured by Yamanashi’s climate and terroir.
