At the bottom of the ceramic open-air bath, there is a single character '笑', bringing smiles from the heart in a tranquil setting. You can also enjoy dishes prepared with abundant mountain and river delicacies.
Although my check-in was delayed due to work on the day of my stay, you kindly picked me up at the station, which was a great help. The room was spotless and very comfortable, and all the staff were exceptionally kind. Your thoughtful attention and warm smiles made it truly the best hospitality I had been looking forward to. Kakujin was completely destroyed in the Dorogawa Great Fire once in the 1830s and twice in the 1940s. Tracing its origins is extremely challenging, but investigations have been conducted based on evidence and information from other sources. Notably, inscriptions on stone monuments confirm dates from the early Genroku era. However, while it is presumed to have existed before Genroku, due to lack of confirmation, it is currently regarded as having been established in the first year of Genroku (1688).
