Futami Okitama Shrine (Meoto Iwa), known for purification rituals before visiting Ise Shrine, is just a 5-minute walk away. A free shuttle service to Iseshi Station (reservation required) operates three times each in the morning and evening, allowing you to complete your purification early and head to Geku with ease.
I chose this Hotel again for my second stay in Ise. It’s right by Futamigaura, so you can start your Ise pilgrimage from here, and the view of Ise Bay from the coast and the Hotel is amazing. The staff were kind, and I was very satisfied.I did see an awkward moment when a male guest said he hadn’t been told to come to the front desk to pick up the key for a private bath. But staff are only human—there may have been something missed in the many explanations, or perhaps the guest didn’t catch it. Even though the staff member apologized properly, he kept pressing them, which made me feel sorry for them.I’d like to stay again, so please keep up the good work and don’t let unreasonable customer behavior get you down.Thank you very much.

Castle Inn Ise Meotoiwa is a casual Resort Hotel located along Futamiura Beach, famous for the Meotoiwa rocks. Traditionally, visitors would perform purification rituals at "Okitama Shrine" in Futamiura before visiting Ise Jingu Shrine, and the shrine is just a 5-minute walk from the hotel.
