24-hour stunning views, blissful hot springs, over 40 types of buffet, Japan's highest sulfur concentration.
An Onsen Property boasting one of the finest baths in the Kanto region, located at an altitude of 1800m, where you can fully enjoy nine natural wooden Onsen. Featuring Japan's highest sulfur concentration, the milky white cloudy hot spring water naturally gushes from the ground. With an overwhelming daily flow of 5.4 million liters, the Onsen is offered in a free-flowing style. From the "Gokurakuyu" bath, where the scenery changes every hour of the day, you may even encounter a sky full of stars. For dinner, enjoy a balanced buffet menu of over 40 dishes, including Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine, under the theme "Mago wa Yasashii."
Despite it being March, as soon as we entered the Manza Onsen area, we were greeted by heavier snowfall than expected and a stunning winter wonderland. We got close but took a wrong turn, so we called the front desk. We called about twice while they guided us using landmarks, and each time they kindly gave careful directions, allowing us to arrive safely at the property. Our Room was the newly renovated “Mori no Yakata – Western-style Room,” so it was very clean inside. A humidifier and a Dyson Hot+Cool were also provided. Most importantly, the Onsen had a pleasant sulfur scent and left our skin feeling smooth and refreshed. Meals were buffet-style for both dinner and breakfast, and everything was delicious and satisfying. (I booked a 2-night Multiple Night Stay for therapeutic bathing after illness/surgery, but the food really boosted my appetite—I even had extra servings of rice at every meal.) If I have the chance, I’d love to visit again in a different season.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 3/17/2026I made a last-minute Reservation the day before on a whim. We had previously stayed at another Hotel in Manza as a family, and this time we traveled with my parents as well—three generations together. Since the Hotel we stayed at before was fully booked, we chose this Ryokan because it had availability. It turned out to be the perfect choice.Onsen Quality The Onsen water was excellent—milky white, silky-smooth, and rich in sulfur. Even with atopic dermatitis, I could soak without any stinging sensation. The open-air bath requires about an 80-meter walk outside. There is no washing area there, so it’s a bit inconvenient; we used the large public bath next to the lobby first to wash and warm up before heading out. Except during cleaning hours, it’s available 24 hours a day, so we enjoyed it many times. It’s also available even before check-in, which was great—we could soak right after arriving.Room We stayed in a Japanese-Western style Room. It was clean and comfortably warm. There were two beds provided, and futons were laid out in the tatami area. The Room was spacious enough for four of us to relax comfortably.Meals They exceeded our expectations. The buffet offered carefully seasoned dishes across the board—Japanese cuisine, mountain vegetables, soba noodles, and fresh fish—which suited our family well since we don’t like greasy food. There was also steak grilled on the spot. For children, there were pizza and fried chicken as well. Since our kids also like Japanese food, everyone was very satisfied. Breakfast included a seafood rice bowl station, and strawberries were available among the fruit selection too—it felt like excellent value for the price. We ended up liking this Accommodation even more than the one we originally planned to book, so we will definitely stay again next time. Thank you very much.”
