When visiting Nara to immerse yourself in its history and culture, we warmly invite you to stay at our Hotel.

  • Just before check-out, my grandfather who was traveling with us became unwell, and the gentleman at the front desk was incredibly kind and helpful. At dinner, they even specially chopped the food into smaller pieces to make it easier to eat, and I truly appreciated the thoughtful care from a middle-aged female staff member. All of the staff were very kind. The hospitality was outstanding!

Kame no I Hotel Nara's 3 Attractions: ③ Nearby Sightseeing

The world heritage site "Heijo Palace Ruins," adjacent to the Hotel, is the former palace site of Heijo-kyo, which was relocated from Fujiwara-kyo. Some structures, such as the Daigokuden Hall and Suzaku Gate, have been restored, offering plenty of attractions to explore. At night, you can enjoy the beautifully illuminated night scenery. Additionally, there are numerous world heritage sites scattered around the area. It takes about 15 minutes by car to reach "Todai-ji," known for the "Great Buddha of Nara." About 20 minutes by car will take you to "Kasuga Taisha," established to protect Heijo-kyo and famous for its shrine buildings being rebuilt every 20 years. "Kofuku-ji," which flourished as the family temple of Fujiwara no Kamatari and was relocated to this area with the capital transfer, is about 15 minutes by car. Lastly, "Yakushi-ji," constructed under the wish of Emperor Tenmu and representing the layout of Buddhist temple complexes of the time, is about 10 minutes by car.
