A Japanese-Western style Room with a chic, modern Japanese ambiance where the whole family—including grandparents—can enjoy time together. The bed is either twin or double, and up to three futon sets can be laid out in the tatami area—sleeping side by side with grandparents sounds wonderful. The tatami flooring is also great for babies to crawl on (certified as a “Welcome Baby Inn” Room by the Miki House Childcare Research Institute). The vanity and bathroom are separate for added convenience. Relax and enjoy your stay in this calm, comfortable space. From the deck, you can look out over Karuizawa’s lush garden—perfect for cooling off in the evening after a bath. The sound of birdsong is especially soothing.

[Open-air Bath and Indoor Bath Bathed in Dappled Sunlight] A soothing artificial Onsen “Togoruyu” that warms you to the core.

Two types of baths: Whitewood and Red Pine. Both are generously crafted with natural wood, and the moment you open the bathhouse door, you’ll be greeted by refreshing woody aromas along with the rising steam. The open-air bath, filled with dappled sunlight, is also perfect for a morning soak. Surrounded by Karuizawa’s rich nature, you can relax both body and mind. The water is “Togor-yu,” a quasi-natural Onsen (artificial hot spring) known for warming you from the core and boosting metabolism. Benefits: Helps relieve muscle tension and stiff shoulders. Enjoy one of Karuizawa’s few private baths! Popular with couples, families with babies, and groups—two private baths are available. Choose between a bright hinoki-wood bath and a modern rock bath for a relaxing time all to yourselves. Unwind in complete privacy, and on family trips, even bath time for grandparents and children can become a cherished memory.

[Kids’ Play Area] A Happy Spot for Children

In one corner of the lobby, there is a kids’ area with toys and plush animals for active children, as well as a selection of books ranging from picture books for little ones to titles for elementary school students. Located just steps from the restaurant, it’s perfect for giving kids a quick change of pace! Next to the kids’ area is a coffee corner where adults can relax and enjoy Mikado Coffee while keeping an eye on their energetic children. Take a moment to unwind... In addition to the kids’ area, there is also an ice cream corner on the first floor offering complimentary ice cream that both adults and children can enjoy freely.
