Stayed for the second time this year, this time with my daughter after the first snowfall. Although there was no snow on the roads, it had accumulated quite a bit. We were able to enjoy both autumn leaves and snowy scenery at the same time. Since outdoor activities had ended, we spent time playing in the game center. The room was a Japanese-style room facing the parking lot with an amazing view—especially the sunrise over Tsunan Town was breathtaking. We also got to enjoy the Onsen in the game center that we couldn't use last time because it was fully booked, and had delicious meals as well, making it a very satisfying stay. I’d love to visit during midwinter someday, but I’m not confident about driving on snowy roads...
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 11/25/2025We stayed for two nights on a family ski trip. We have always liked the Tsuma region and visited often, but this was our first stay in Tsunan. On the day of arrival, we were picked up by a complimentary bus from Echigo Yuzawa. Unlike other ski resorts, there was no queue for the bus, so we boarded smoothly and didn't mind the 50-minute ride to the hotel from Echigo Yuzawa. The facility has some age but is well-built and clean, so it didn't bother us. The Japanese-style room we stayed in had a Ryokan feel and was very comfortable. Although futon bedding is self-service, leaving it laid out allowed us to relax and recover from skiing fatigue! The bath includes an open-air bath with excellent water quality. We were grateful to be able to use the bath after finishing skiing even after checking out.The buffet included crab and nanban shrimp (nanban ebi), which were delicious along with other dishes.If I could make one request, it would be nice to have fresh fruit available.There were no waits at the lifts on the slopes either; even beginner courses are long with great views.The snow quality is also very good.In the evening, we enjoyed watching lanterns and fireworks from the open-air bath—a wonderful time spent.Since it's away from Echigo Yuzawa, some might find it less lively; however, I think it's a homey facility where you can slowly savor Niigata's satoyama while enjoying skiing.We look forward to visiting again next year as well.
