Enjoy the aroma of tatami mats and the soothing underground spring water at a Ryokan near Kyoto Station.
Just a step into an alley from Kyoto Station, you will find our Property located on the stone-paved "Kyoto Ryokan Street." It is about a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station, making it a convenient location for business, sightseeing, and shopping. The tatami mats in the guest rooms are made of rush grass, allowing you to enjoy their natural fragrance. The bath uses water drawn from underground, known for its gentle and soothing qualities. For breakfast, we offer a variety of side dishes that pair perfectly with rice. You can also choose between two options: tofu with a savory sauce or porridge with yuba (tofu skin).

Hifumi Ryokan COVID-19 Prevention Measures
This is Hifumi Ryokan. Since the end of March, our Ryokan has been temporarily closed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
As we look ahead, with the lifting of self-restraint requests across The whole country, we would like to inform you about the COVID-19 prevention measures we will implement for guests visiting Kyoto for tourism.
We understand that these measures may cause some inconvenience to our guests, but as we prepare to resume operations, we will take the following steps:
1. Disinfection within the Ryokan
At our Ryokan, cleaning is conducted after guests check out, during which we will disinfect using alcohol.
(This includes wiping down doorknobs in each guest room, elevator buttons, shared area tables, etc., with alcohol.)
2. Mask-wearing by staff
All staff members, including those in customer service, office work, and the kitchen, are instructed to wear masks at all times.
3. Changes to amenities
Since the outbreak of the "2009 Influenza Pandemic," we have been using disposable paper cups at the washbasins.
Additionally, we will provide alcohol disinfectant and gargling solution in each guest room.
Masks necessary for sightseeing will also be made available in the lobby. *Please note that the number of masks is limited, so we kindly ask guests to bring their own as much as possible.
4. Health management of staff
All staff members are required to take their temperature every morning.
