The Hotel is old, so you may feel its age, but the staff are truly excellent. Everyone was kind and attentive in their service. Additionally, the meals were well-organized with separate buffet options for Japanese-style breakfast and Western-style breakfast catering to many foreign guests, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. I would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Lake Akan.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 10/5/2025Affordable accommodation with meals included was greatly appreciated. The onsen is a natural hot spring, and it was available even late at night, which was very convenient. Dinner was served as a set meal, featuring Ishikari Nabe and Ezo Deer Meat Stew simultaneously—just the right portion size for even women to finish easily. Breakfast was buffet-style with both Japanese and Western options; the salmon was particularly delicious. The facility is old, and there were some moldy spots in the room's water area, but since we mainly used the onsen and only slept in the room, it wasn't much of an issue. There were game consoles available, giving off a nostalgic vibe reminiscent of Showa-era onsen ryokan. At checkout, we received melon bread as a parting gift—it was delicious! The accommodation is very close to the Akan Lake sightseeing boat dock and about a 5-minute walk to Ainu Kotan village. I’d love to stay here again with friends next time!
