Hotel Route-Inn Court Yamanashi

I made a Reservation because I needed to stay with my mother during her hospitalization. A double Room for one. I expected it to be old and dirty. I arrived earlier than the 3:00 PM check-in time. There was DOUTOR coffee, so I waited with a cup—and they let me into the Room before 3:00 PM.The Room has been renovated, so it was clean. The size was decent too. As other Reviews say, women can use the Onsen only from 8:00 PM for 1 hour and 45 minutes.Why is it so short compared to men? It felt unfair, and I was irritated!But since I already had a Reservation at (Castle Hotel) in Kofu for tomorrow, I told myself to just put up with it for one night.At 6:00 PM I went to Hanachaya and ordered white wine, French fries, fried cheese, and chilled tofu.To my surprise, the 500-yen white wine came with a ham snack set—plus even fresh parsley. Amazing. When I ordered a second glass of white wine, they told me the snack set would come again—another surprise. Since I don’t eat much and was already full, I said no thanks to the snack set; then they poured wine generously into a larger glass instead…The total bill was 2,000 yen. So cheap! It honestly made me worry their profit margin must be very low.Finally at 8:00 PM I dashed to the Onsen—and it was completely private. No one else came in, so I could truly relax on my own. In the courtyard there were beautifully lit bamboo lights that created such a lovely atmosphere…With so few female guests staying here, it makes sense that bath hours are allocated more in favor of men—I accepted that. There was only one bottle each of cleansing oil and face wash in the changing area; that part was a bit inconvenient but understandable.The next morning’s breakfast buffet: even though it’s free, it was delicious with an impressive variety…At business hotels in my hometown of Yokohama, breakfast is around 3,000 yen—and this easily held its own compared with that.At checkout as well, the male front desk staff member wearing glasses was very pleasant; all my initial frustration disappeared and I left feeling refreshed.I’d like to stay again.Thank you for your hospitality.

Stayed for one night in a single Room. The bath and meals (additional charge) were satisfying. Since it was a smoking Room, it was slightly dirty, but still within a tolerable range. I will use it again.
