The steep hill from the station made it a bit challenging, so having a car would have been more convenient for getting groceries and such. The bath is an Onsen with stunning views, which was absolutely amazing. You can see the ocean from the room. It was a 1LDK, spacious enough for four adults to stay comfortably. I would love to stay here again if I have the chance!

Katsuura Onsen "Gaibo no Yu"
The "Sotobo no Yu" on the first floor is a flowing bath. The Onsen water is light brown in color and contains sodium-chloride, bicarbonate, and other minerals, which are said to be effective for neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, bruises, and sprains. This renowned Onsen has been known as a local retreat since the Keicho era (1596–1614). With a jacuzzi and sauna also available, please take your time to relax and enjoy. **Onsen Bathhouse** **Friday, Saturday, and the day before holidays** 15:00–23:00, 7:00–9:30 **Sunday to Thursday** 16:00–23:00, 7:00–9:30 **Jacuzzi & Sauna** **All days** 16:00–22:00 Please note that operating hours may change during Golden Week, summer vacation, year-end and New Year holidays, and long weekends.
