  • Delicious meals

    This was a family trip with our 1-year-old and 4-year-old. When we stayed before, only adult meals were provided, but this time they prepared a kids’ set for our older child. Since our child loves to eat, they were thrilled when it came in a large bento box and they got to open it themselves—they were the most excited of all. Having the fun of opening the lid was also wonderful. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the adults were very satisfied as well. They also prepared two Rooms for us, which was a huge help—we could use one Room to watch TV and get ready in the morning without waking the children. We usually like to try staying in different places, but this is one place we definitely want to return to again and again!!

    I stayed here on a cold day when snow was still on the ground. I came thinking, “A small Room is fine—if I can just throw on a padded kimono at a Ryokan and enjoy some sake while watching the snow, that would be perfect.”But this Accommodation offered more than just a warm bath and great food.The staff were always polite and humble, the proprietress greeted us with a warm smile and lovely conversation, and when we got into bed there was already a cozy hot-water bottle waiting for us. It truly touched me how much everyone prepared so we could spend our time in comfort.As others have written, the meals are outstanding. Because it’s a Ryokan in a residential neighborhood, I assumed everything would be set out all at once—but instead, each kaiseki dish was served one by one with perfect pacing, and both the flavor and quality were exceptional.It was so delicious that I even asked for takeout bento for the next day.Breakfast was also wonderful: morning curry, nostalgic bottled milk you can warm to your preferred temperature, and—since my family loves eggs—the luxury of enjoying as many different local chicken egg dishes as we wanted.Thank you for an experience that exceeded the price.

Azumino Wasabi

Azumino Wasabi

In Azumino, "Sawa Wasabi (Water Wasabi)" is cultivated in an environment similar to the wild and is mainly used for raw consumption. It is hydroponically grown in clean water and soil with high permeability, like sandy soil, and takes time to mature. Azumino Wasabi accounts for 90% of the production in Nagano Prefecture, which ranks first in wasabi production in The whole country. The sharp spiciness and refreshing aroma that lingers in the nose make this authentic wasabi irresistible. The finer it is grated, the spicier it becomes, and its antibacterial properties are enhanced. Soba noodles eaten with freshly grated wasabi are simply the best.

    Starting with stays on Monday, June 1, 2026, Nagano Prefecture will introduce an Accommodation Tax to promote sustainable tourism. For stays from June 2026 onward, we will charge the Accommodation Tax separately in accordance with Nagano Prefecture regulations. The Accommodation Tax is JPY 200 per person per night for stays with an Accommodation Fee of JPY 6,000 or more.
