The meals and service are of the standard quality across Itoen.The staff were very helpful.Although the building is old, it felt grand and was clean.Because it is built on a slope, there are stairs and ramps, so guests with limited mobility should consult in advance about their Room and dining seating.There is no shoe locker at the Hotel entrance, so you place your shoes in a plastic bag and take them to your Room.Located at the far end of Shima Onsen, there is no Onsen town nearby.Recommended for those who enjoy hiking, nature walks, or simply soaking in the Onsen and relaxing.For this price and this level of service, we were more than satisfied.Five stars for Itoen’s efforts.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 3/17/2026Stayed with my parents. This was our second visit. The facility was excellent, the reception staff were kind, and the onsen was very relaxing. However, the parking attendant did not acknowledge us when we drove in and provided no guidance. When we finally stopped and asked if it was okay to park there, they simply gestured for us to move further back without much interaction. After that, they turned away again. Since the parking attendant is often the first person guests encounter, their lack of attentiveness was disappointing.
