Notice of Housekeeping Changes for Multiple Night Stay (Eco-Friendly Cleaning)
From April 1, 2026, housekeeping for Multiple Night Stay bookings will be changed to “once every 3 nights.”
At VIA INN HOTELS, we are working with our guests to reduce CO2 emissions by lowering the energy used for cleaning and laundry.
If you prefer daily housekeeping, we will be happy to provide it upon request.
[Details of the change]
- Housekeeping will be provided once every 3 nights.
- On non-cleaning days, fresh towels will be placed outside your door. If you place used towels or trash in the hallway, we will collect them (by 1:00 PM).
- If you would like housekeeping on a non-scheduled day, please contact the front desk by the day before. Cleaning will be provided between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
By reducing housekeeping frequency, we can save more than 20 liters of water per room.
[What does “ethical” mean?]
“Ethical” is an adjective meaning “morally right” or “based on ethics.”
It refers to acting with consideration for the environment, people, and society—an attitude of kindness that benefits the planet and others.
[VIA INN HOTELS: Our Ethical Stay initiatives]
At VIA INN HOTELS, we promote environmentally considerate actions together with our guests as part of an “Ethical Stay.”
1) Amenities
- From “everything for everyone” to “only what you need”
Instead of placing amenities in every guest room, we provide them so guests can take only what they need.
With your cooperation, we have reduced plastic waste by approximately 6 tons per year.
- Recycled amenities
Toothbrushes and hairbrushes have been changed to sustainable materials and are recycled through closed-loop recycling.
After use, please place them in the cup in your room so they can be collected and recycled into new resources.
2) Energy-saving & water-saving efforts
- We use water-saving showerheads.
- All lighting in the Hotel uses LED lights.
3) Choice of housekeeping method during a Multiple Night Stay
(Ethical Cleaning [Kanazawa / Abeno Tennoji] / Green Card [other Hotels])
- By reducing energy used for cleaning and laundry services, we are working to reduce CO2 emissions.
Reducing linen washing can save more than 20 liters of water per room.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
