Introduction of the Accommodation

The main building blends traditional charm with modern design. Experience a soothing time surrounded by craftsmanship and art that leaves a lasting impression.

UTSUROI, housed in the former fire station that has been part of Kinosaki's history, offers a stay surrounded by art and design. Enjoy a relaxing experience that harmonizes with the changing seasons and times.

The interior is adorned with paintings by Japanese artist Mr. Takeshi Yamada. The architecture, designed by architect Mr. Hiroyuki Kakita, reflects a harmonious balance of space and materials. The collaboration of these two creators brings together Tsuchiya Ryokan and UTSUROI as one, beautifully capturing the essence of "Kinosaki Onsen."

Our head chef uses expertise and skill to create unique Japanese cuisine with seasonal ingredients. Based on traditional Japanese dishes, we incorporate local seafood and mountain delicacies, allowing you to experience the changing seasons through both taste and presentation. UTSUROI is an accommodation-only facility. Guests wishing to have dinner are kindly requested to make a reservation at the main building.

At Tsuchiya Ryokan, from November 6th (the start of snow crab fishing season) to the end of March, we offer exquisite dishes featuring premium Matsuba crab packed with rich meat, available for a limited time. Savor this special seasonal delicacy to your heart's content.
