The accommodation itself is old, but the meals, onsen, and service were excellent.[Meals] It was a half-buffet style with a wide variety of dishes, which was very satisfying. There was also a service where you could take some desserts to your room and enjoy them twice. They were very attentive to allergies as well.[Onsen] The paid sand bath was extremely relaxing. They even took photos for us![Service] The welcome drink featured Chiran tea, and the terrace had foot baths and a bonfire where we could spend a relaxing time.Overall, it was an accommodation I would love to stay at again.

A “Sand Bath Onsen” is a globally rare type of bath that has been passed down in Ibusuki for over 300 years—bury yourself in warm sand, and as you feel the gentle heat seep in, you’ll find yourself drifting off in comfort.
Onsen & Bath
The Kyukamura large public Onsen bath features an open-air bath and is a natural hot spring with free-flowing water. The indoor bath is fully covered with tatami mats, providing a soft, non-slip surface that is gentle on your feet and joints.
Enjoy Kagoshima and Ibusuki cuisine with a half-buffet dinner that combines the calm, seasonal feel of a traditional kaiseki course with the fun of choosing from a buffet.

Enter the Ibusuki Skyline from the Kyushu Expressway Kagoshima Interchange, and take the general road towards Ibusuki from Taniyama Interchange.
Turn right at the intersection in front of the Traffic Safety Education Center towards Ibusuki and drive approximately 40km south.
After entering Ibusuki City, turn left at Ozono-hara Intersection towards Chiringashima, and drive about 4km to reach our accommodation.

From JR Kyushu Shinkansen Kagoshima-Chuo Station, take JR Ibusuki Makurazaki Line Rapid Service to Ibusuki Station (approximately 60 minutes). From there, take our shuttle service (about 10 minutes).
