A nostalgic onsen property cherished by literary figures. The rock bath, constructed during the Taisho era, is the oldest in Kaike Onsen. Enjoy a relaxing time with natural onsen baths without circulation systems and exquisite meals served in private rooms.
I have stayed at many accommodations in Kaike Onsen, but this was my first time staying with my beloved dog. The onsen and the meals were extremely satisfying. It seems like the place is run by a family. While modern ryokans are nice, I personally love traditional accommodations with this kind of classic atmosphere. I would love to stay here again with my family and dog if I have the chance. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Every morning, the owner personally visits Sakaiminato, the largest fishing port in San-in, to select ingredients.
The Onsen features a natural free-flowing source.
The source is 73.5°C, a natural Onsen flow without using any circulation system (with added water). It is a salty spring known as "Kaike of Yonago, where the sea boils."
Dinner is served in a private room or Room, and the entire interior is tatami-floored, ensuring peace of mind even with small children. Allow your children to experience the extraordinary traditional Ryokan style.
The predecessor had close relationships with prominent authors such as Akiyuki Nosaka and Makio Abe, who were active in the literary world, and through these connections, original manuscripts of Showa-era writers naturally accumulated. These manuscripts are subtly displayed throughout the facility.
At Kaichouen, there are 3 dedicated Rooms where you can stay with your dog. You can stay with your dog under the following agreements. The pet entry fee is 5,000 yen (excluding tax) per pet.
■Accommodation Conditions ・The dog must be a small breed weighing 10kg or less. ・The dog must be at least 1 year old. ・The dog must have completed vaccinations and immunizations. ・The dog must be an indoor pet at your home as well. ・The dog must not bark excessively and must be well-trained. ・The dog must be house-trained. If the dog is in heat, sanitary shorts for dogs must be worn. ・If you leave the dog in the Room while going out, it must be kept in a cage or carrier. ・The dog must be in good health. ・The dog must not mark in the Room. ・After walks, please wash and wipe the dog's paws before entering the Property. ・In areas of the Property other than your designated Room, the dog must be carried or kept in a carrier bag. ■Items to Bring ・Dedicated carrier bag ・The dog's usual food ・Leash ・The dog's favorite toys, stuffed animals, or any other necessary items ■Ryokan's Available Rental Items ・Cage ・Dishes (for food and water) ・Dog toilet sheets
