We are open at all times, so please feel free to use our services.
This theater, built in 1910 (Meiji 43), was once forced to close but underwent over 30 years of restoration efforts. Today, it is designated as a National Important Cultural Property and continues to thrive as a modern playhouse. Tours are also available.
Michinoeki Kahoku Ogurigou is located at the foot of "Oguri Pass" on National Route 3, known as the northern gateway to Kumamoto Prefecture, and serves as an excellent rest point with well-equipped facilities. Within the premises, "Country Park" features popular attractions such as the summer-favorite "Shinsui Pool," along with "Sanpo Path," "Takenoko Mountain," and "Chestnut Hill."
