About a 10-minute walk from Nagahama Station, a Resort Hotel within walking distance

A spa resort where nature and the city meet, overlooking Lake Biwa, Japan’s largest lake. Conveniently located with easy access from central Osaka, Kyoto, and the Tokaido area, it also makes an ideal base for exploring Nagahama, including Nagahama Castle, Kurokabe Square, and Hikone Castle Ruins. All guest rooms include lounge access with alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and light snacks. We recommend an all-inclusive stay that includes dinner and breakfast, drinks and snacks in the lounge, the large public bath, and various activities. In addition to Nagahama-only experiences such as a Sengoku-era mystery-solving game themed around the Toyotomi clan, we also offer classic activities like a summer-only garden pool as well as table tennis and board games. Enjoy a resort stay where you can fully indulge in sightseeing, Onsen bathing, and great food.

  • We traveled as a group of four—my wife and our two grandchildren—saying that this might be the last time we get to travel together! In Nagahama, many shops were closed, and it was hard to shake the impression that the area has become a bit quiet. Still, I’m sure it became a great memory for the two younger ones as well, with activities like the glass workshop at Kurokabe Square, the Kaiyodo Museum, and trying different foods as we walked around.Above all, they were delighted by the view of Lake Biwa...The meals offered a wide variety of options and we were very satisfied. Since it was chilly, being able to enjoy the Onsen also seemed like a real highlight. We have also stayed at other Grand Mercure Hotels in Daisen, and in every case the service has been attentive—excellent value for money. We may not have many chances to travel with our grandchildren from here on, but we’d like to keep choosing destinations by looking at Hotels from this same group for trips just for my wife and me.
