Hotel New Akao

I’ve visited Atami many times, but this was my first stay here. The shuttle bus was comfortable as well. It was a spring break trip with my grandchild, and they really enjoyed the Facility offerings for kids. Since we were able to check in early, we left our luggage, enjoyed the Onsen on the 15th floor, had drinks in the lounge, and then tried activities like target shooting before dinner at 5:00 p.m. Unfortunately, the weather was poor due to a spring storm, but we still had plenty of fun inside the building. The next morning there were some sunny breaks, so we went out from the Horizon Wing exit to view Nishikigaura and walked down the stairs to see the scenic spot. We could see lava formed by volcanic eruptions in many places along the side of the stairs, which really made us feel nature’s history. Our Room on the 11th floor of Ocean Wing was spacious and very comfortable, with spectacular views from the window. All of the staff were kind and very pleasant. I was truly surprised by how large the dining venue was. Was that horse mackerel caught at Atami Port? The dried fish served at breakfast was also delicious. Because it was spring break there were many families with children, and until around 10 p.m., I wasn’t sure if it was from above or next door, but I did notice vibrations from running around that bothered me a bit. We also used the pool after checkout, so my grandchild was thrilled. The retro chandeliers and grand hall were wonderful too! Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay.

In every aspect, it exceeded the price.
