Opened in May 2021 "The ultimate retreat" and "Supportive hospitality from the shadows" are the concepts of Gen. Embraced by the profound natural beauty of Gora, it soothes the senses with the Hakone mountain range, a stargazing deck, and an open-air bath in the Room with natural hot spring water. Natural Kaiseki meals are served in the Room for both dinner and breakfast.
This Accommodation exceeded all expectations. The Room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast offered an impressive variety—luxurious and delicious. The staff’s hospitality was outstanding. We were also soothed by the open-air bath and hammock in the Room. It was a celebratory trip for my partner, and they were truly delighted, so I’m very glad we chose this Accommodation. We would love to visit again!
RSRS 2/26/2026This was our first trip with a child, and we were able to enjoy everything—meals and complimentary drinks—entirely in our Room, making it a very family-friendly Accommodation for guests with children. The staff were also kind enough to speak to our child, and their thoughtful support—such as providing water and a chair for our child during meals and when eating baby food—was truly helpful. We would definitely like to stay again.
