The source of this Onsen is said to have been enjoyed by Matsumae Chikatsumaru, who later became the lord of the Matsumae Domain during the Edo period, and by Enomoto Takeaki, the leader of the former shogunate forces during the late Edo period. "Hakodate Yunokawa Onsen Umi to Akari / Hewitt Resort" is a Resort Hotel where you can experience the charm of the traditional Hakodate Yunokawa.     This was my first stay.The Room layout was excellent (the bath and toilet are separate, and the washbasin area is spacious), so I was able to relax. Breakfast was also delicious—I ate too much, but there were still so many more dishes I wanted to try!I would definitely like to stay again, and I would recommend it to friends as well!

    It was our first stay in a while.We were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade.The room was spacious and spotless, and we were able to relax.For us, who enjoy good meals and the Onsen, it was very satisfying.We’re looking forward to visiting again.

    In Hokkaido and Hakodate City, an Accommodation Tax will be imposed on guests staying at Accommodations within Hakodate City starting April 1, 2026.
