Before the cherry blossoms bloomed, we spent a relaxing time here as a family. The attentive service—each detail clearly designed with “comfortable stay” in mind—creates an indescribably cozy atmosphere. At the same time, talking with the proprietress was reassuring; she is friendly and down-to-earth in a way that never makes guests feel they need to be overly considerate. And the cuisine was outstanding: unpretentious, carefully prepared dishes that made our time truly enjoyable. We also found ourselves drinking more of Fukushima’s sake, which has been earning top rankings across The whole country.Located at Fukushima’s main gateway, this was a wonderful Accommodation—just over an hour from Tokyo.
もりうみ 4/5/2026Returning to Atamisou after two years, it felt so nostalgic to see the proprietress, the head chef, all the staff, and to enjoy the Onsen and our Room again. The Onsen we soaked in for the first time in a while left our skin silky smooth—ah, that familiar feeling—as we relaxed and took our time. The view from the Room was just as before: about ten ducks swimming in a line. This time, though, there was also a troublesome bird—maybe a heron? Or a cormorant?—spreading its wings wide and hogging the river all to itself... This is my favorite Room because you can spend hours simply watching the river. It’s truly wonderful. The proprietress, the head chef, the staff member who is great at origami, and even the new staff were all friendly and easy to talk with, which made for lively conversations and a very enjoyable stay. The flowers in the Room, the decor—everything showed such thoughtful attention to detail. Atamisou’s hospitality is still as warm as ever. I’m so glad. Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality. We will be back again—thank you in advance for your continued kindness.
