Experience the evolving hospitality and exquisite flavors since Showa 28.

Kaiseki Yado Shiosato was established in 1953 and has been operating as a Ryokan in this Banshu region for many years. Starting as a very small Ryokan with only 3 Rooms at the time of its founding, we have gradually grown with the support of our local guests. In 2003, marking our 50th anniversary, we underwent a complete renovation and have since been operating as a Property with 11 Rooms. Today, we welcome not only local guests but also many visitors from other prefectures through introductions and recommendations. Shiosato is still in the process of growth. We will continue striving to be a Property where guests can feel our daily evolution.

  • We visit every year with our grandchildren. Everything was delicious again this year, and the kids were thrilled. We hope to come again next year—thank you in advance.

  • I chose this Ryokan based on priorities of hygiene, service, and meals. Everything met my expectations, and I was especially impressed by the meticulousness and taste of the meals, truly living up to the reputation of a fine dining Ryokan. The service was also excellent, allowing me to relax completely. Next time, I plan to visit with my wife.

The separate bathing areas for men and women are located on the third floor, offering a stunning view from the baths, truly a magnificent sight. In the distance, you can see the Ie Islands, Bōze, Nishijima, and Oga, with the small Tōni Island appearing to float on the sea. On clear days, you can also faintly see Shōdo Island. The pleasant sea breeze and the scent of the ocean envelop your body, helping you forget the daily hustle and relax your mind.

In a Japanese kitchen, there are areas such as the cutting station, frying station, grilling station, and a section called "Hassun" responsible for appetizers. This is a crucial position to enjoy the seasonal essence through sight and taste, enhancing anticipation and appetite for the upcoming dishes. We hope you enjoy the flavors of the sea, mountains, and countryside...
