All rooms offer ocean views. Unwind with Oga’s mountain and sea delicacies and Onsen.

We offer seasonal dishes prepared with the chef's creativity and extra care, using local ingredients. Please enjoy the proud specialties of Oga and Akita to your heart's content.

  • We visited during a snowstorm. In winter, the accommodation does not take full-open reservations, so it was calm without being too crowded or noisy. The room was the "Akita Bijon Room," which was spacious with a great view, and we were very satisfied. If I had to point out something, I would suggest using curtains instead of roller blinds in winter as it can get quite cold. The meals didn’t have any standout dishes but everything was delicious. The bath area was spacious, and my favorite part was the reclining bath. My wife and I talked about definitely visiting again in summer!

  • It was my first visit. The lobby had a fireplace, and I could relax while listening to the crackling sound of the firewood, watching the flames, and enjoying soothing music. The availability of coffee and detox water was truly appreciated. The meals were enjoyable with live hot stone cooking demonstrations, and the simmered sea bream head was absolutely delicious. The staff's hospitality and kind interactions made my stay very pleasant. It would be wonderful if there were a sauna in the women's bath area. I hope to come back for a Multiple Night Stay next time!

Introduction of the Accommodation

Namahage

The Oga Peninsula in Akita Prefecture is a small peninsula jutting into the Sea of Japan, surrounded by the sea on three sides. From the guest rooms, you can enjoy views of the seasonal Oga sea, and during meals, we offer unique Oga cuisine made with ingredients from Akita and Oga. The Onsen flowing from three sources provides abundant water and excellent warmth. Please enjoy your relaxing stay.

Onsen
Onsen

The abundant water and the spring quality called 'Sodium Chloride Spring' contain salt similar to seawater components, preventing sweating and enhancing heat retention, making it difficult to cool down after bathing and well-known as 'Hot Water' for its warming properties. It is said to be effective for (cuts, burns, chronic skin diseases, weak children, chronic gynecological diseases, etc.).

Cuisine
Cuisine

The Oga Peninsula, surrounded by the Sea of Japan on three sides, offers seasonal seafood throughout the year. Additionally, the untouched natural countryside provides seasonal mountain harvests. We prepare unique Oga dishes using these ingredients. Furthermore, we offer Akita Beef, a representative black-haired Wagyu of Akita, and Hinai Chicken, one of Japan's top three delicious chicken varieties. Please enjoy the cuisine of Akita and Oga.
