A classic wooden Onsen Ryokan near the Nasu Imperial Villa
We want our guests to enjoy a truly relaxing time at their own pace. With this heartfelt wish, the current Sansuikaku accommodation has been carefully built over time. The old wooden structure, built in the early Showa era, carries both charm and imperfections in equal measure. You may feel a slight draft through the wooden-framed windows, notice low lintels standing proudly, or hear the stairs creak apologetically underfoot. If you can appreciate these as part of its charm, it would bring us great joy and gratitude. Over the years to come, we plan to gradually make improvements while preserving the unique qualities that make this building special.
A truly wonderful accommodation. The staff were polite and exceptional, greeting us as soon as we arrived at the parking lot and seeing us off warmly despite the cold weather. The calm and spacious room showcased attention to detail in its furnishings. Meals were served one dish at a time, each incredibly delicious, with beautiful tableware adding to the experience. The female staff member who attended to our meals was dedicated, making it an enjoyable time. This is an accommodation I would love to visit again.
pafpaff 1/28/2026We stayed here for my wife’s birthday trip.As a result, she told me it was the best Accommodation of her life.First of all, the property itself was wonderful. With a calm atmosphere that evokes wabi-sabi, I felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. The service was pleasantly friendly while still conveying genuine hospitality, which made our stay very comfortable.Everyone was natural and unpretentious, yet their attentive care made us feel at ease throughout our stay. The Room felt like an old traditional house—nostalgic and warmly inviting. It was truly comfortable. The Onsen bath in the Room was spacious, and I ended up soaking again and again. We could enjoy a luxurious, relaxing time without worrying about being seen by others.Above all, what left the strongest impression was the food. Each dish was prepared with great care, and we could really feel both the quality of the ingredients and the high level of culinary skill. We were completely satisfied from start to finish. This is an Accommodation that will stay with us—one we would love to visit again.
