1-minute walk from Akita Station. A comfortable and sophisticated space with a touch of local charm.

"Hotel Metropolitan Akita," directly connected to Akita Station, is a new type of city Hotel offering comfortable accommodation, banquet halls with modern facilities, restaurants, bars, and a shopping plaza. We promise utmost relaxation to make your stay in Akita a memorable experience.

  • I’ve stayed in many places, and even in Akita this Hotel truly lives up to the Metropolitan name—excellent service and spotless throughout. There’s a Starbucks and a 7-Eleven right next to the first floor, and it’s only a 30-second walk from the station, so it’s incredibly convenient. The website also explains how to get there from the station in detail, which was very helpful. I usually point out drawbacks in my Review, but I didn’t have any here. I didn’t try the food, so I can’t comment on that.

  • Directly connected to the station, with modern Rooms in a new building, a spacious bath with a washing area where you can stretch out your legs, and attentive front desk service—overall, a very satisfying Hotel. For dinner, I chose the solo Plan at one of the restaurants in Topico, and they properly secured a private room seat for me. From complimentary Akita local sake to jun-sai, sashimi, whole-dried hatahata fish, Honjo ham fry, kiritanpo hot pot, Hinai-jidori oyakodon, and Inaniwa udon—it was an all-star lineup of Akita specialties! It would be perfect if there were also a small Akita-style dessert at the end. Breakfast also featured local dishes such as handmade onigiri rice balls, jun-sai, and Inaniwa udon. I’d definitely like to stay again next time.
