The name reflects our desire to create a serene garden reminiscent of a grand estate, preserving the lush greenery and towering trees that remain from the former Hokkaido Forestry Bureau on this site. We welcome our guests with a story inspired by late 19th-century Vienna.

    On December 13th, due to heavy snowfall in Hokkaido and flight cancellations, my wife and son had to stay an extra night at this Hotel in Sapporo. Despite arriving more than 30 minutes earlier than the check-in time after a tiring journey from New Chitose Airport to Sapporo, they were kindly allowed to go straight to their Room, which they said was a great relief. They also used the large public bath and massage services, which helped ease their fatigue from the previous day. Thank you so much for your hospitality. We will definitely stay here again!

  • Exceptional Hospitality

    The breakfast buffet venue was spacious, with no sense of crowding, and the food was delicious and excellent. Both the service and cleanliness were flawless! Although there were no amenities like lotion in the guest room, which is why I deducted one star, this is definitely a Hotel I will revisit.

Located on the former site of the Hokkaido Forestry Bureau, "Hotel Monterey Edelhof Sapporo South Wing" (12 floors, 110 rooms) opened on March 19, 2022. The hotel inherits the charm of Hotel Monterey Edelhof Sapporo and features a natural and simple modern design. The South Wing is designed with a "forest and nature" theme, incorporating elements like dappled sunlight through trees and woodland scenery. It offers furniture designs suited for modern stays, including open closets for long-term guests and multipurpose tables for enjoying takeout meals in your room. <Facility Overview> ● 12 floors above ground (Rooms located on floors 2–12) ● Microwaves available on each floor of the South Wing * Luggage storage before check-in is available at the front desk (located on the first floor of Hotel Monterey Edelhof Sapporo Main Building). <Room Overview> ● All rooms are non-smoking. * For triple occupancy, two standard beds plus one extra bed will be provided. ● Each room is equipped with a humidifying air purifier, pants press, safety box, smart TV "BRAVIA," and free Wi-Fi (individually installed in all rooms).

    At Hotel Monterey Edelhof Sapporo, an accommodation tax will be introduced starting from stays on or after Wednesday, April 1, 2026, in accordance with the ordinances of Hokkaido and Sapporo City.

    ■ For accommodation fees less than 20,000 yen per person per night (excluding meals and tax): 300 yen per person per night
    ■ For accommodation fees between 20,000 yen and less than 50,000 yen per person per night (excluding meals and tax): 400 yen per person per night
    ■ For accommodation fees of 50,000 yen or more per person per night (excluding meals and tax): 1,000 yen per person per night

    * Breakdown of the tax rate: Prefectural Tax - under ¥20k: ¥100; ¥20k-¥50k: ¥200; over ¥50k: ¥500. Municipal Tax - under ¥50k: ¥200; over ¥50k: ¥500.

○ By Subway
Take the Namboku Line or Toho Line to "Sapporo Station." From Exit 22, it is a 2-minute walk. If you have heavy luggage, Exit 21 (with escalator) is more convenient, about a 4-minute walk.
