Just as we had read in previous Reviews, we thoroughly enjoyed the excellent French cuisine. From locally caught fish and venison to a variety of homegrown vegetables, everything was very fresh and delicious. Even though we wondered if we could eat so much, it was so good that my spouse and I finished every last bite. We would love to visit again when we have the chance.
ブリッジ女王 4/5/2026Because the meals were so delicious, we visited again after coming last December. This time we left the course menu up to the chef, and everything was truly wonderful. The homegrown vegetables were sweet, the fish was fresh, the meat was tender, and the abalone was perfectly plump and grilled. Above all, the consommé-based soup was exceptional. The next morning’s tomato juice was freshly made, and they kindly refilled our coffee many times. We were also very satisfied with the vegetable pot-au-feu and dessert. Thank you for a wonderful meal. We also visited the Ikeda 20th Century Museum of Art next door—it was fantastic. We were lucky to receive a discount ticket from Le Temps as well.

I was born and raised in Fukushima Prefecture. At the age of 18, I moved to Tokyo and began training at a restaurant in the city. Later, I had the honor of opening Auberge Lutin with Mr. Kaneo Takahashi, who retired from Surugatei in Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City—a meeting that happened during my time in Tokyo. Back then, auberges were not as common in Japan as they are today. Now, 23 years have passed since those early days. Thanks to the support of local farmers, fishermen, and many others along the way, we have come this far. The Izu region is blessed with a mild climate, clean air and water, and an abundance of delicious ingredients. Moving forward, I am committed to creating dishes that embody the spirit of an auberge while cherishing the passion I felt when I first started cooking—always striving for excellence without forgetting where it all began…
