An accommodation associated with the name of Taikan Yokoyama, where you can unwind with sweeping garden views and soothing Onsen.

Daikanso, a property associated with the Japanese painting master Yokoyama Taikan. The expansive garden and the large bath boasting abundant hot spring water each have their own unique charm. Enjoy a relaxing moment with Kyoto-style kaiseki cuisine, harmonizing carefully selected fresh seasonal ingredients from the mountains and sea with chosen tableware.

  • We were very glad we chose to stay at Daikanso. Our children were absolutely delighted as well.We booked a stay for our family of four to celebrate our children, and we were truly happy with the hospitality, which exceeded our expectations. Thanks to the attentive service, we felt that everyone working at Daikanso is highly experienced, and we were able to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay with complete peace of mind. In these times, it is a truly valuable Accommodation. We would like to continue staying here with care in the future. The meals were not only delicious; they also showed great attention to detail, from the tableware to selecting the right glasses for each drink, which made dining even more enjoyable. The superb abalone in particular was outstanding.Thank you very much for your thoughtful kindness during our stay.

  • We visited as two women to unwind from work fatigue, and we were completely satisfied with everything—the meals, the Onsen, and the staff’s service. It is a historic Ryokan, and while the building itself shows its age, it was thoroughly cleaned and felt very fresh. There were fresh flowers arranged throughout, and above all, the hospitality from the staff was outstanding. We were first impressed by the welcome drink while looking out over the Japanese garden. The North Wing where our Room was located must have been renovated. It was a new building with a warm wooden feel, and our Room was Western-style.We used the Onsen in that wing; it was spacious with a great view overlooking the sea in Atami, and the quality of the Onsen water was excellent. The meals were also thoughtfully prepared to reflect the season, and everything was delicious.Among all the Accommodations we have stayed at so far, their attentive service is number one. More than anything else, it made for truly comfortable relaxation. If we have another chance, this is a Ryokan we would love to visit again for some healing time.
