Introduction of the Accommodation

Atrium Lobby

Grand Reopening on September 17, 2025

Hyatt Regency Tokyo opened on September 15, 1980 as the first Hyatt Hotels & Resorts property in Japan. Three chandeliers made with 115,000 Swarovski® crystals illuminate the elegant atrium lobby, which rises from the lobby level to the 8th floor, and serve as a symbol of the Hotel.

Lobby Lounge “Nineteen Eighty Lounge & Bar”

Beneath the sparkling chandelier is the lobby lounge and bar, “Nineteen Eighty Lounge & Bar.” Inspired by the iconic clock at Shinjuku Station, its design blends beautifully with the original “Emperor’s Chandelier” from the hotel’s opening. Enjoy reimagined classic dishes featuring Japanese ingredients served all day, with highlights such as Tokyo Akigawa beef sirloin accompanied by 1980s-inspired “Café de Paris butter.” With 80 seats, menus are available for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and bar time to suit each part of the day.

Our largest guestroom renovation since opening, creating an even more refined space

Guest rooms have been renovated under the concept of “Shinjuku’s character and timeless beauty.” Featuring a design inspired by the shimmering surface of the Kanda River and handcrafted wall coverings made using Shinjuku dyeing techniques, the rooms have been transformed into a serene, refined space in the heart of the city.

A New-Style Restaurant: “Crossroads Kitchen”

In a space inspired by the neon-lit nightlife of Higashi-Shinjuku and the lush, tranquil atmosphere of Nishi-Shinjuku, order your meal while enjoying the chef’s live cooking with all five senses. We offer a curated selection of gourmet cuisine from around the world.
